Mienkintosh Fairie started it's roots in 2005. At the time, it was a small operation. I would do freelance work for the locals of Statesboro, GA, the town that I attended college. I started by advertising around town doing alterations, making costumes, and doing bridal gigs. Now Mienkintosh Fairie is an indie brand that's primary focus is on clothing, bags, and accessories.
I started sewing at the age of 5. My grandmother taught me the basics. My first project was a yo-yo quilt for my dolls. I remember making my first outfit from knit fabric when I was in middle school. By the time I reached high school, I knew how to alter patterns and insert boning. I started Mienkintosh Fairie because I wanted to share my fun and cool vision with design conscience people. With this company, I am now providing one on one design consultation and teaching others how to sew. With over 15 years of experience, I can teach you how to sew! I decided to teach others how to sew after noticing that they are no longer teaching these types of classes in school.
I specialize in clothing design and garment construction. My previous work includes bridal, costumes, alterations, and doll creation. I have had my work featured in a UK magazine, shops, and blogs.
My philosophy is simple: I will not rest until the customer is satisfied. I only want the best for you, and I strive for excellence! I believe in transparency and honesty. If you are unsure on something, please do not be afraid to ask.
